The countdown is real, only 38 days until the first game in college football. SEC Media Days, for some, is the official start to the new season. Jon Chuckery was at the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday where the Georgia Bulldogs were front and center. When asked about the crowd size at the downtown SEC event, Jon didn’t see many UGA fans – they had already wrapped their session before he got there – but he did see a lot of Gator fans (Florida) in attendance.

“I bet Wednesday you’ll see Alabama’s in full force,” he added.

We heard from Georgia’s Terry Godwin and more from Kirby Smart on the quarterback situation, having both Jake Fromm and Justin Fields on the roster. Are you buying that Georgia really has a quarterback competition going on?

Jon isn't buying it, saying: "This is Jake Fromm's team."

Meanwhile, new Florida head coach Dan Mullen spoke to the media on Tuesday on “feeling at home” in Gainesville. That he's ready to get back to "fun" football.

Both John Fricke and Jon Chuckery agree, along with many in the media, that Georgia is No. 1 in the East but after that, it gets murkey. How would you rank the East?

There's questions with both Florida and South Carolina, the two teams the guys rank No. 2 or 3. For the Gators, it's "who's playing quarterback."

Defensively, Florida has always had the talent. But they haven't found the solution at QB after Tim Tebow. Will new Mullen have the answer?

And for South Carolina, it's quite the opposite. They're the team that has defensive issues.
