D.J. Shockley joined The Midday Show Tuesday to talk about his new position with the SEC Network and Julio Jones. D.J. told us he will be both an SEC Studio Analyst and commentator calling games during the season.

Shockley talked about the dynamic between Georgia quarterbacks Jake Fromm and Justin Fields. He mentioned being around them separately and said they are almost the same guy. D.J. told us Fields isn’t afraid of competition and will compete for the starting QB spot.

D.J. believes Kirby will use Fromm and Fields like former head coach Mark Richt used him and David Green.

Shockley mentioned who we should watch out for in the SEC in the receiver position at various schools and told us he is sold on Dan Mullen at Florida based on what he was able to do at Mississippi State. DJ believes Mullen will get the Florida team rolling a lot faster than people think.
