Second and 26 at the Georgia 41-yard line with a three-point lead in overtime… These numbers will forever live in infamy in Athens, Georgia.

The name Tua and 20-7 are words that Dawgs fans don’t want to talk about either. But what Georgia did until then was magical. The question becomes can UGA continue the trend that was started in 2018.

Positives: Jake Fromm was a stud as a freshman and was a heck of a lot more than a game-manager. In the College Football Playoff games Fromm took his game to another level. Now he has competition from Justin Fields, who many regarded as the best high school senior a year ago. D’Andre Swift will lead an uber-talented running back group that may be better than it was a year ago. The secondary should be a strength of a rebuilding defense, and DeAndre Baker will be the leader. Rodrigo Blankenship will be one of the best kickers in the country.

Negatives: Not many, other than replacing the great players from 2017 in Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Roquan Smith, Lorenzo Carter and others. The talent at UGA may be at its highest ever, but the question is will it all come together in 2018.

Bottom line: UGA has the talent to win it all. Anything less than the College Football Playoff will be considered a failure.
