Golf Channel Analyst Damon Hack joined Dukes & Bell Monday to recap The British Open.

Hack on his trip to Scottland: “It was great. I got to play the Old Course (St. Andrews). It was a really, really special week at Carnoustie.”

Hack on Tiger Woods: “He has the lead going into the 11th hole and then doubles. Would have like to have seen him just chip it onto the green there at 11. We are always going to hold Tiger to highest standard. He did have us believing that he had a real chance at his 15th Major.”

Hack on Francescon Molinari’s performance: “This is where we learn about the mental toughness of athletes. The fact that he went 37 holes without a bogey to end the Open is a testament to him.”

Hack on Jordan Speith: “It’s about belief right now. He took the high road after the ground.”

Hack went on to say Speith is, “tough and consistent.” Hack said he has too much class and talent to not start winning again.

Hack on Matt Kuchar: “Time is running out for him but he hasn’t a chance to win anytime he is playing in a tournament.”

On Rickie Fowler: “There are a lot of guys that had to wait for their first major championship: Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia to name a few.”

On Tiger’s chances at the PGA Championship Hack said, “It’s an old school PGA Tour golf course. It’s a ball striker’s golf course. It would not surprise me at all if Tiger is in the mix Sunday at Bellerive.” Hack went on to say that Hitting the fairway at Bellerive will be “of upmost importance.”
