As the Braves started Spring Training they already are dealing with some minor injuries as the team had to shut down 20-year-old pitcher Mike Soroka. This prompted the guys to ask the question: Just how patient can the team be with the young pitcher?

Carl Dukes said that the team needs the young pitchers to give them consistent outings and innings.

“We keep hearing things about rest, but we need him to stay healthy,” said Dukes. “How patient can you be as a Braves fan with a young pitcher like this? We need pitchers that can give us innings and be effective.”

Mike Bell said that it is alarming when a player this young has the same reoccurring injuries.

“When a body part becomes an issue at this young of an age, it’s not the look you want,” Bell said. “This is not what you want to hear when you’re trying to get your career off the ground.”
