The Atlanta Falcons announced earlier Monday that they will not pursue resigning former first-round pick Vic Beasley, making him an unrestricted free agent. Dukes and Bell discussed the team’s decision to move on from Beasley and asked was this move made a year too late?

Carl asked if this was a move that should have been made last year?

“Here’s the thing that troubles me," started Carl. "After he had the monster year and we go to the Super Bowl and he wasn’t the same. After Year 4 you kind of knew, but you rode it out and things never clicked. Beasley is going to end up somewhere in the NFL. He’s not a trouble guy, he will get another contract, but I think this is a decision that should have been made last year.”

Mike said Beasley was a disappointment during his time with the Falcons.

“Vic Beasley is a colossal disappointment," said Bell. "He had that monster year in 2016 with 15 ½ sacks. Since then he’s been inconsistent. Where were the sacks and the difference making plays?”
