The Atlanta Braves went west and swept the San Francisco Giants in a three-game series. It was the Giants 11th-consecutive loss, the longest in their franchise history.

Meanwhile, in the NL East, while the Braves keep winning, the Phillies continue losing. Philadelphia dropped their 5th-straight game Wednesday night, and were just swept by the third-place Washington Nationals.

The Braves now hold a seven game lead in the division. Their magic number to clinch a playoff spot: 10.

"This is a forgone conclusion at this point; the Braves are going to win (the division)," John Fricke said on the Morning Show on Thursday. "It's almost as if there's no way they can't."

While most fans are tempering expectations, taking this one game at a time, our own John Fricke is already planning a parade down Peachtree Street; or should it be Cobb Parkway?

"Hey, we're playing with house money; let's dream as big as we can dream! Let's say the Braves do win the World Series, (doesn't the parade) have to end up at Suntrust Park?"

John is well aware of the Braves heartache of the past. They only have one World Series despite having tremendous teams (he specifically points out the teams between 1991 and 2005).

"I mean, how did we win [only> one World Series? One. Are you kidding me? We should've won five. Six. Seven. I mean, that team was that good."

However, he said this 2018 Braves team is different. It's special.

"The Gods of sports are going to pay back this town which has been so heartbroken over the course of time, and they're going to give us a team that for no reason whatsoever is suddenly going to win a title out of nowhere. That's this team. That's right now."

Forget about the negatives, potentials, what ifs that could happen, do you agree that there is something special or different about this year's Atlanta Braves team?

Hugh takes a more realistic approach from what he's seen over the course of the season. He's not ready to proclaim this team World Series champs just yet, and can't help but to point out the bullpen issues.

"You're enjoying [the moment now> but when you look at this team, and it's been said on more than one occasion, that they do have deficiencies when you talk about them making it to the World Series. The bullpen is the biggest deficiency that you think about."
