Former GT player and current ACC Network analyst Roddy Jones joined Dukes & Bell.

Roddy told the guys this is Georgia Tech’s bowl game.

“If I’m Coach Collins I’m going in there and saying guys this is our bowl game.” Jones said “We’re not gonna play another game after this weekend so lets prepare as hard as we’ve prepared all year, play as hard as we’ve played all year and you’ll go down in history if you win this game. This would be the largest upside maybe in the history of the rivalry, there’s not been one in my lifetime that would be equal to this, so that’s what I’m saying if I’m Coach Collins.”

Jones said Tech is playing with house money.

“Now you don’t want to overhype the game in terms of what it could mean for this program but why wouldn’t you at least put all the stakes out there on the table, this is what you have to play for, this is what’s at stake and heck if you lose the game you’re expected to lose but you’re playing with house money ultimately.” Jones said “Because Georgia is the one that has the onus of winning by four touchdowns to be considered performing like they were supposed to perform and to be honest with you the way Georgia has performed on offense scoring four touchdowns even on a Tech defense that’s struggled thru some of the year might be a challenge.”
