Atlanta United defensman Julian Gressel joined Dukes and Bell Thursday and started off by talking about playing with some of the younger guys in the United pipeline.

“You train with those guys every day so I thought it went well,” said Gressel.

Gressel talked about a few of the young guys stepping up Wednesday night in the U.S. Open Cup.

“Romario [Williams] was good last night, gave us a huge goal and Andrew [Carlton] is Andrew when he’s on he keeps it simple and that showed yesterday," said last year's MLS Rookie of the Year.

Mike asked Gressel about his passing being on point...

“It essentially comes down to practicing," said Gressel. "That’s how all sports are if you want to do something in a game you practice it and then you do it in the games.”

When talking about what the club can be better at...

“I think we just have to be consistent," said Gressel. "Consistency even in matches has to be there, whether we’re on the road or at home.”
