Will Jones attend minicamp: 'We haven't discussed that all the way through'

When mandatory minicamp starts next week for the Atlanta Falcons one of the team's biggest stars might not be there.

For the last few weeks, as the Falcons have been going through voluntary workouts at the team's training facility in Flowery Branch, wide receiver Julio Jones has not been in attendance. On May 18, NFL Network analyst Ian Rapoport reported that the star receiver "wants some sort of correction or update to his contract."

While Falcons Nation instantly became polarized on whether Jones should get a new contract, many felt it was his right to sit out the voluntary portions of OTAs because they were, in fact, voluntary. How will those same people feel if Jones misses a mandatory session. That may happen, as it seems head coach Dan Quinn and Jones haven't made a decision on attendance.

"We haven't discussed that all the way through," said Quinn when asked Tuesday if Jones would attend minicamp. "As far as my end goes, there's no chage from my end as far from what we discussed earlier this spring."

In late May Quinn said there were "no issues on our end" and seemed upbeat in the fact that Jones was working hard away from the facility.
