Joining the show as we previewed the upcoming MLS All-Star Game is former Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids.  “It’s fantastic to be here and promote the Game,” he said, and when asked about the growth of MLS, “it’s much better than before.  Thinking the Atlanta team just started a couple of years ago, and it’s already packed, it’s amazing.”  On ATLUTD – “There were doing well until the red card happened.  They have a plan, the players and great coach.”

What was it like playing for Juventus? – “It was like playing with LeBron.  Woahhh, I know you gave me the look, but they need to win…you got to get the finals.”  When asked how he spent time at the Ponce City Market on Wednesday, hanging out with Waka Flocka, Davids said, “It was kind of fun.  I did things that I hadn’t done before, like baked a pizza, I’ve never done that before.”

While he considers Messi the best player in the world, he is equally impressed with the play of Cristiano Ronaldo, “that bicycle kick he had a few weeks ago…woooh!”

Who do you like in the upcoming World Cup? – The Germans are always solid, but Brazil has the flavor, the somba…hahaha.”  He feels it’s a great idea to bring teams here for the All-Star Game because as Davids said, America’s sports culture is appealing to those from other countries.
