CBS Sports put out its list ranking the top Power-5 college football coaches in the country entering the 2018 season.

There’s no surprise that Alabama head coach Nick Saban was ranked No. 1. For John, the rankings get interesting with former Florida State and current Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher being No. 4 on the list.

He and Hugh debate the entire list, including Georgia’s Kirby Smart at No. 8, and Georgia Tech's Paul Johnson at 32.

Here's what Tom Fornelli said about UGA coach Smart:

Kirby Smart: No coach climbed higher in the rankings this year than Smart, who was at 54 last year because he was 8-5 at Georgia and had no track record. Well, winning the SEC and nearly winning a national title will go a long way to boosting your reputation. Some of us are more convinced than others, however, as Patterson and Palm have Smart ranked fifth, while Barrett Sallee has him at 22. I'm in the middle at 13. 2017 rank: 54 (+46)

And here's Fornelli's writeup on Johnson:

Paul Johnson: In the three years we've been doing these rankings, I believe Johnson's been the most volatile coach. This is largely due to Tech going from 3-9 to 9-4 and then to 5-6 in those seasons. Such is the life of an option team. 2017 rank: 24 (-8)
