Joining the show to talk about day two as the new head coach of the Hawks is Lloyd Pierce.  After talking about his experience at this weekend’s Anita Baker concert, he talked about the upcoming draft and hopes guys like Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum fall to the cracks for his new team, “We’re just trying to find the right guys, with great character and IQ to represent the city of Atlanta and be here for a long time,” Pierce said.

He talked about his relationship with Travis Schlenk and was appreciative of the opportunity to interview for the job and looks forward for the challenge.  Even though he now has the reins of being a head coach, he plans to take advantage of every chance to coach to his players, “you have to be very direct, you don’t have time to waste.”

When asked about Dennis Schroder’s social media moves, he said he’s reached out to all of the guys, but he can’t and won’t reach any conclusion on Schroder’s status based on his actions.
