The Atlanta Braves limped their way to a series-split with the Miami Marlins over the weekend and the use of pitchers on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon was front and center in the discussion on Monday morning,

John Fricke and Jon Chuckery were pretty direct when discussing the playoffs. They both agree the Braves will absolutely be there, but share concern about what can limit October success for the team.

"The biggest hurdle you gotta overcome in the playoffs is how your manager uses his pitchers. It's who's going to pitch at the end and how you handle game number three," says Chuckery. "It's about what your manager decided to do with those guys."

"Melancon, Greene, and Martin can pitch, these guys have histories," says Fricke. "I can't believe this is going to continue. They're going to settle in and be better than this.

"The manager is so loyal to that 77 guy, that's the guy he decided to choose," says Chuckery. "Because I guess Shane Greene can't throw 3 days in a row after throwing 22 total pitches. He threw 1 inning total in two games. He's not available after 22 pitches?"
