At the time, when Matt Ryan signed his 5-year, $150 Million deal it was the richest QB contract in the NFL. Recently that bar has been completely reset by Patrick Mahomes new agreement worth a possible $503 Million.

Even before Mahomes new deal there have been multiple QB contracts that have surpassed what Matt Ryan was making, an average of $30 Million per year.

Currently Matt Ryan's deal would rank him as the NINTH highest paid QB in the NFL behind Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers, Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Carson Wentz, and Dak Prescott.

There's also a long line of QB's who are about to get deals that would push Ryan even further down the list.

Soon you'll see new deals for QB’s like Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott, Jimmy Garoppolo, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Teddy Bridgewater, Baker Mayfield, and others who will get new deals.

Hugh Douglas was speaking with Nick Kayal about Ryan's deal and how he differentiates it from what Patrick Mahomes just got.

"The biggest difference is Mahomes got the Super Bowl rings and then the big pay-day. In people's minds that is justified. Matt Ryan is a different story."

When we look back at the Ryan deal, how do you view it now, and does your opinion of the job that GM Thomas Dimtroff did change based on where QB contracts are now?
