Bucky Brooks of penned an article about the offensive engine of all 32 NFL teams. Who do you think he selected as the Atlanta Falcons engine?

So the question is which guy drives the Falcons offense? It's pretty easy to single out Julio Jones. After all he routinely leads the league in various WR stats. Many would argue he's the top receiver in the NFL, and he single-handedly changes the way defenses play against the Falcons when he's on the field.

Jon Chuckery feels it's a tricky debate because it's tough to say that any contending team's engine isn't the QB.

"Who could you afford to lose less? 11 or 2? That's your engine," said Chuckery. "Julio Jones is the best player the Falcons have, but Matt Ryan is the most important player."

Another player outside of Ryan and Julio to debate as offensive engine is Devonta Freeman. We've seen what the Falcons can be with Julio and Ryan going good, they've done that including last year and still missed out on the playoffs. When Freeman had a big season, the Falcons ended up in the Super Bowl.

It's certainly interesting to see Brooks' perspective on the Falcons offense. But moving away from the QB as the straw that stirs the drink is quite tough to do.
