Atlanta United radio play-by-play announcer Mike Conti joined John and Hugh to talk about the team’s 5-0 shut-out win over LAFC on Saturday. It's obvious when you look at the final score that Atlanta United had a lot of success on the offensive side of the ball. However, you have to credit their defensive play.

"[Brad] Guzan didn’t really have to do a lot of work because his defenders were keeping his area clean. When you look at all the completed passes LAFC had, I don't think they had a single complete pass inside the 18-yd box."

Mike wasn't surprised by the five goals Atlanta United scored. This win should give Atlanta even more confidence because of LAFC's hot start offensively.

"It's the way they were able to defend on Saturday [that] should give Atlanta United and their supporters a lot of confidence because LAFC was a team that came in here capable of scoring a lot of goals."

Atlanta United still has a tough two-game stretch, first against NYFC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday followed by a match out west against the L.A. Galaxy. Mike is unsure if we’ll see the much anticipated debut of Ezequiel Barco against NYFC, especially with how well the team is playing. Barco may be made available in that 18th-spot but Tata Martino will probably not start him.
