The NBA's season was suspended with about 15 games left and they have been off now for more two weeks.

The plan is to hopefully resume the season with a playoffs and there are many options to do that.

Independent of the suspension of the league was an idea, largely popularized by Hawks CEO Steve Koonin to push back the start of the league by a couple months.

Atlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk joined Hugh Douglas and John Fricke on Tuesday and discussed how if the league's desire to play out the rest of the season is implemented that Koonin's idea likely would also follow suit.

"There's certainly a desire for the league to have some sort of abbreviated season if we can," says Schlenk. "The longer this lasts the possibility of being able to finish the season and have a playoffs is less likely, but there is a desire to have a playoffs and if they do push back the playoffs you would be looking at a later start for next season."
