Hawks Head Coach Lloyd Pierce joins Rick and John to detail the teams road trip and return home.

They kick it off talking about the special opportunity for Vince Carter returning to Toronto and the way they treated him. Lloyd told Rick that he is mindful of Vince Carter, where he is in his career and how he uses him during games to help the team execute.

From there, Coach Pierce described his conversation with Trae after the game and how it’s a learning opportunity for him on the road to learn that things aren’t always there as if you think they will be and you have to understand when they are. Coach Pierce told John he was most happy with the 21 point 3 rd. quarter Miami had Sunday in Atlanta when they were able to defeat them in D-Wades last game in Atlanta.

Rick wants to know about the NBA All star Game and the Dunk Contest, Lloyd told Rick that if you have never done the dunk contest before it’s not as easy as it looks. You have to come with a game plan and have some creative ideas that will surprise the fans. Finally, Lloyd told us it’s tough to play on back-to-back nights but everybody has to do it and it also gives guys further down on the bench to get in some game time.
