Atlanta United defender Michael Parkhurst joined John and Hugh to preview the team’s match against Columbus on Wednesday night.

It’ll be a battle between two of the best at the top of the Eastern Conference. Atlanta may hold a slight advantage defensively especially with the stellar season goalkeeper Brad Guzan has had up to this point. Parkhurst said it’s nice to have a reliable keeper behind them.

"You're going to make mistakes every now and then, and [Guzan] is so good back there to keep us in the game; to cover up for some of our mistakes. He's making huge save after huge save. It's nice knowing that we have him behind us."

He talks about the strengths and weaknesses of the Crew, and how United needs to get back to playing their style of ball.

It was also announced that North America will play host of the 2026 World Cup. Parkhurst, who wasn't aware of the news until he was on with John and Hugh, was excited.

"It's fantastic; it's awesome. What an awesome thing for the country to be able to host the World Cup. It's the biggest tournament in the world coming to the U.S...it's just such a big massive event. For that to be here in the states, it's going to be awesome for soccer."
