Rick and John debate the reality of the College Football Playoff going from four to eight teams.

John talks about the transition from the original BCS to the new CFP system. The Athletic has a great article about how to improve the system with Power-5 Commissioners getting behind the idea.

Rick immediately wants to move to eight teams for the chance to watch more big-time football, but understands thats a longer Playoff season cheapens the regular season. Rick makes the point that moving to eight games makes every single game life or death for every program, not just the Power-5 teams.

John talks about how this would positively affect teams that have one bad game. However, John says that no team can have two losses in the regular season, regardless of how big the Playoff expansion would be.
