Terrell, selected 16th overall by the Atlanta Falcons, is by now a familiar face to many football fans, having starred in big games for three years with the perennial powerhouse Clemson Tigers. The defensive back experienced the highs and lows of championship play the past two seasons, playing a key role in his team's victory over Alabama in 2019 -- and its loss to LSU in 2020.

Here's what you need to know about Terrell:

Measurables: 6’1”/195

School: Clemson

2019 Stats: 85 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, two passes defensed, one fumble recovered

Accolades: First-Team All-ACC 2019, Third-Team All-ACC 2018

• Smooth, natural athlete with good length and plenty of speed to keep up with faster receivers
• Impressive 4.42-second 40-yard dash at Scouting Combine, tied for sixth-fastest

• Rated highly in coverage by advanced metrics
• Large sample size of productive play

• Slender build at 6'1" and under 200 pounds
• Inconsistent, including mixed performance in 2020 national title game against LSU
• Gets burned for big plays at times
• More finesse than physical

Expert scouting report:
• "He has the tools to be a high-quality starter, hopefully we see them all come together at the next level" -- Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus
• "Physically gifted ... but he had an inconsistent season" -- Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN
• Plenty of "size and ability ... but he lacks ballhawking traits, which could cap him as an average future starter" -- Greg Zierlein of NFL.com

Player Comparison: Gareon Conley, per Tank Williams of Yahoo Sports

Terrell, like Conley before him, had a blue-chip pedigree and an outstanding combine, which propelled him into the late first round in 2017 despite some concerns about his consistency at Ohio State.
