When there are dozens of names that could potentially be of interest to a team on draft day, it's hard to separate the more reasonable rumors from those that are just speculative or wishful thinking.

However, when the team's official website endorses the rumor itself, it becomes a little more believable. Even though there are 10 featured prospect profiles on the Falcons' page, there may not be a more exciting name mentioned than Isaiah Simmons.

Simmons ran an eye-popping 4.39 second 40-yard dash and recorded a 39-inch vertical, reaffirming his incredible blend of size and athleticism. He can play on the defensive line, as a linebacker or nearly anywhere in the secondary. Coincidentally, the Falcons could use some help in all three areas.

One of the initial rumors came from NFL Network.

However, it's going to require a lot of movement from the Falcons. At the No. 16 draft slot, Atlanta would likely need to move all the way up to the top five in order to expect that Simmons is still available. Draft movement is something that Falcons fans are accustomed to at this point, though, and so anything is possible.

Who could potentially be on the table? No one immediately obvious comes to mind, outside of other draft picks. However, if it seems like a realistic possibility that Simmons could become the future of the franchise's defense, the Falcons could be willing to give up plenty if it comes at the right price.
