One team in the NFC East signed a star to a $90 million extension as the 2019 season began, making a move that seemed to establish itself as a force in the division. That star played all 16 games en route to another Pro Bowl election, driving an offense that was ranked in the top five units according to Pro Football Focus.

Another team with high hopes entering the year suffered injuries to its starting running back in addition to multiple wide receivers, cornerbacks, and linemen. With losses to the Falcons, Lions and Dolphins, the year was seen as somewhat disastrous to the fans who came in with high hopes.

And yet, this division proved once again that the wildly unpredictable NFL continues to defy expectations, as the Dallas Cowboys (first team mentioned) fell to the Philadelphia Eagles (second team mentioned) in the division race.

Thus, the NFC East presents itself as a particularly intriguing division this offseason, as both teams at the top are flawed and undergoing some major changes, and both teams at the bottom are desperately trying to reverse their fortunes.

Here are some possibilities for big offseason moves that would shake up the division and spark movement between four teams in a fairly open race.
