Ricardo Allen was lost last season to an achilles tendon tear in Week 3 during a loss to the New Orleans Saints, but was back on the field Monday when Falcons Training Camp kicked off.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn joined John and Hugh on Tuesday and they asked him about Allen and how some people can understate what he means to the defense.

"Rico is an extension of me and he's one of the people that are the best at communicating. He worked so hard, not just his body, to come back from injury," says Quinn.

"If I could tell you the amount of time he's put in mentally in the offseason, he challenged himself to take his preparation to the next space," Quinn continued. "The more prepared you are, it just breeds confidence and he used the time to get stronger from the neck up and that sums up who he is. All the unrequired work he puts in makes him a rare competitor and that's why he's a multiplier for our team."
