Rick Kamla and John Michaels talk about multiple parts of the Atlanta Falcons versus Dallas Cowboys game where things went wrong for the Falcons. Both Rick and John agree that the biggest turning point of the game was the Matt Ryan pass to Calvin Ridley that Ridley couldn’t hang on to and was ultimately intercepted by Dallas Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

Other aspects of this game that Rick and John discussed included the following:

  • The play early in the game when Matt Ryan took a sack on third down to knock the Falcons out of field goal range
  • The struggles on the offensive line, specifically the lackluster performance from right tackle Ryan Schraeder
  • The shortcomings of the run defense and how much Deion Jones would have changed the outcome of this game
  • The need to create more turnovers on defense and how this is an issue that has spilled over from last season
