Monday on The Midday Show, Rick and John questioned whether Atlanta Braves pitcher Brandon McCarthy will hold onto his spot in the starting rotation based on his performance Friday.

Rick had Mark update the Raffy Lopez-Kurt Suzuki incident Sunday during the Braves game after Lopez hit Suzuki in the head with the bat and how he didn’t apologize or check on him afterwards. Rick talked about Tyler Flowers coming in to relieve Suzuki and the performance he gave for the Braves.

John mentioned Julio Teheran’s velocity being back up during Sunday's game and it was mostly in the 90s. Rick said he needs to see Teheran perform that way in tougher environment that isn’t against the San Diego Padres.

John sidetracked the show and mentioned a listener he met at Sam’s while shopping.

MO gave Rick and John an update on the Braves attendance record so far this season.
