Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk joined John and Hugh on Tuesday to talk about the NBA Finals. The NBA Finals has now been set with the Warriors vs Cavaliers meeting up for the fourth time. Schlenk said “for the first time in four years, I’m tired of seeing it…it’s like Alabama football. There in the college championship every year; you’re ready for something new. I think this will be a good series and good for the league in general.” LeBron James is playing in his 8th NBA Finals which is a staggering number. “It’s fairly unbelievable when you think that he’s won the Eastern Conference eight years in a row. Now we’re starting to talk about Bill Russell kind of numbers when you think about his dominance with the Celtics. Winning the division eight years in a row, it’s impressive stuff. He’s been the King of the East.” Hugh doesn’t think that Cleveland can win the Championship but could potentially win two. Schlenk said “certainly I think the Warriors will be big favorites in the series…it’s going to be an uphill climb for Cleveland.” Travis Schlenk believes Golden State will win it in five. How do you see the series going?
