The Atlanta Falcons right tackle position is a question mark heading into the team's third preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Thursday.

While rookie Kaleb McGary returned to individual drills this week, he has not been cleared for contact. Meanwhile, starting RT Ty Sambrailo was ruled out for Thursday's game with a sore shoulder.

That leaves Matt Gano to start at right tackle. But what does that mean for the Falcons season opener?

"If you already know McGary is down for awhile...if you're (Coach) Dan Quinn, are you a little bit more protective of Ty Sambrailo moving forward?" Jon Chuckery asks.

The resounding answer is yes.

"(You're) three Sunday's away from playing a real game in the NFL. I'm not quite willing to go down the road of 'okay, let's just throw Ty out there and we don't have any options,'" Chuckery continued.

"You don't want to do anything to where Matt Gono on Sunday, September 8 at 1 o'clock in Minnesota has to be your starting right tackle."
