When the Falcons parted ways with Devonta Freeman a spot on the depth chart opened up. While it seemed that the team would use a draft pick to fill that role, which changed when the Rams announced they were releasing former UGA RB Todd Gurley.

It seems many Falcons fans feel it's a no-brainer that the team should bring in Todd Gurley, but Hugh Douglas is not at all convinced about Gurley. He has concerns about his knee, and he also thinks you can do just as good finding a back in the draft.

"How much are you willing to pay and how much will you get from him with that degenerative, arthritic knee?"

While Gurley had monster seasons in 2017 and 2018, leading the NFL in Rushing Touchdowns both years and taking home the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year Award, but his 2019 season was a far cry from that output and he rushed for a career low 857 yards.

If Gurley can be had for a relatively risk-free price the team should consider him.
