Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel joined Carl Dukes and Mike Bell on Dukes & Bell Thursday to discuss not only last season, but his future with the Atlanta Falcons.

“I would say the [lack> of deep balls was a bit of change," said Gabriel. "Teams tried to take that away from us.”

Did the dropped passes concern you? “I don’t think so, man, that’s football," said Gabriel, whose 2017 season was his second with the Falcons. "It’s not the drops, it’s how you bounce back from them.”

You mentioned that you’d like to return to the Falcons? “Of course… But it’s a business and it’s about doing right by my family," said the seedy receiver. "You never know how things will work out, but because I’m an unrestricted free agent, I’ll be able to choose where I go.”

He talked about turning 27, and how he certainly feels young:

“I’ve preserved myself and I haven’t had one of those 50-catch seasons, so I’m still young," said Gabriel. "We didn’t take a lot of deep shots down the field last year, but you have to take advantage of the opportunities you do have.”

So, is it your desire to return to the Falcons? “We’ll see, man… It’s not my job to negotiate that, it’s my agent’s job," Gabriel diplomatically responded. "It’s my job to play football and make plays.”
