The Atlanta Braves throttled the Philadelphia Phillies, beating them 15-1 on Sunday, to win the series and go up 2 1/2 games in the National League East.

The two teams will meet again in Philadelphia July 2-4.

What did we learn most about the Braves over the weekend?

"They're the best team in the NL (East)," Randy McMichael said. "They'll have to let this division get away. As talented as the Phillies are, they don't have the depth of talent like Atlanta does."

"I think that the National League East will come through Atlanta. I just don't think anybody's better than them."

Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson homered in each of the three games against the Phillies while the bullpen remained the only blemish from Saturday night.

"We saw it this weekend that they're playing really good baseball right now," Andy Bunker said. "I don't think there's any other way to interpret it, coming and seeing what they did against the Phillies the last three days, is that the NL East--it went through Atlanta last year and it comes through Atlanta again this year."
