Tennessee Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt joined The Midday Show with Rick Kamla and John Michaels Wednesday as they kicked off Day 3 of live coverage from Radio Row at SEC Media Days.

Pruitt said SEC Media Days is a great opportunity to share the vision and mission of the Volunteers' football program. He also talked about his expectations for attracting and retaining players in the program, including building a championship program and getting an education.

Pruitt also said that what’s he trying to impart to his players is that they have to be themselves as both people and players, that work ethic counts for something, that they are getting the new foundation of the program started, how to handle adversity, and how they're working to focus on establishing the program and not so much on how many games they’re going to win in his inaugural season.

Pruitt also talked about what he tells the team about how they’ll move forward with a historically proud program that is trying to return to prominence.
