Atlanta Falcons training camp is fast approaching. With last Monday being exactly 10 shows until the first practice, Andy and Randy of the Midday Show countdown the Top 10 Falcons' storylines heading into the 2019 season.

The No. 2 storyline is, well, No. 2: Matt Ryan.

In a year where Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan didn't have an offensive line that could protect him or a consistent running game, he still had a phenomenal 2018 season. Ryan threw for 4,924 yards, 35 TDs, 7 INTs and a QBR of 108.1.

"They invested pretty heavily in the offensive line in the offseason, and Devonta Freeman is, by all accounts, healthy and going to be counted on to be Devonta Freeman again," Andy Bunker said.

"If those things happen close to what they're supposed to be and Matt Ryan is Matt Ryan, Matt Ryan should be a legitimate MVP candidate in 2019, shouldn't he?"

It's hard to believe after being sacked 42 times last year, and being hit another 108 time, that Ryan has only missed two games in his career.

"He's the most important person to this franchise," Randy McMichael added. "As he goes, (the Falcons) go."
