Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was a unanimous selection for the NBA All-Rookie team.

He received first-team votes from all 100 media voters for 200 points.

"I was just super excited," Young said when he found out he had been selected. "First, not only for myself but glad I was joining my teammate Kevin Huerter to be a part of the rookie team. To be unanimous is an honor and I'm just super excited and blessed to be here."

Hawks rookie shooting guard Kevin Huerter was named to the All-Rookie second team, finishing with 45 points, including one first-team vote and 43 second-team votes.

The All-Rookie team may be just the start of awards Young could receive in his first year. He was also one of the three finalists named for the Rookie of the Year award last week.

"I would love to win it," Young said. "My idols growing up, a lot of them won it...of course it's on my list that I would like to win but that's not my main goal. But of course, I would love to win it."

Young played in 81 games in his rookie season, missing just one game for rest. He averaged 19.1 points, 8.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds.

There has been a lot of talk with the improvement of Young's play throughout the season on if he'll be the one to attract the big name free agents. But does he think he can?

"If you're looking to have the ball in your hands, if you're looking to score a lot of points--I mean, a lot of players in the league know if you come play with me, I'm going to make sure I get you the ball. I think that's something that attracts a lot of big players."
