University of Georgia Bulldogs should have been SEC National Champs

Duane believes since head coach Kirby Smart took over the Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia has been on a pathway to SEC National Championships every season. Georgia had the opportunity two times to beat the National powerhouse: Alabama who has won six SEC championships.

Duane thinks the one of the main reasons Georgia has not won the SEC National Championship under Kirby Smart is because he does not utilize the talent on the team.

In 2018, Georgia allowed a five star quarter back, Justin Fields, to transfer to the Ohio State Buckeyes. The prime example Duane uses is the LSU v. Georgia game, when the coaching staff did not take advantage of the fact that Justin is a great runner and passer. In turn, Georgia lost to LSU 16-36 which could have easily been a win had Kirby Smart subbed Jake Fromm for Justin Fields.

Duane poses the question to callers, “Does UGA fans have a burning desire to win the National Championships or are we continuously ok with just making it to the playoffs and always being the favorites to win?”
