The Atlanta Hawks will begin their 50th season on the road against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

However, that's not the only accomplishment that will be recognized. Voice of the Atlanta Hawks, Steve Holman, will be calling his 2500th consecutive game of his now 34th season with the team.

When asked about some of his memorable games, he listed several involving Dominique Wilkins, the return to the playoffs under Mike Woodson and the 60-win season back in 2014-15.

The longtime announcer also spoke on the new additions to the team, and what new head coach Lloyd Pierce expects from them:

“He wants them to get better and improve on things every day. What’s going to be great with this group is that they will grow up in front of us."

*You can hear the Voice of the Atlanta Hawks Steve Holman on the call, and some surprises, with coverage starting at 7 p.m. on 92.9 The Game
