Sam, Greg and John Bednarowski were joined by Eric Jackson of the Atlanta Business Chronicle Sunday morning. They discuss the monetary loss to the state of Georgia due to the Coronavirus. The cancellations range from games, to events connected to those games, and hotels, restaurants and even car services like Uber & Lyft are suffering.

Jackson also believes because of this current economic situation, the state will lose some long standing corporate relationships. But what should the Atlanta Sports Council do now that the city has lost the Final Four?

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be hosted in Atlanta at Truist Park in 2021. Jackson told Sam and Greg that the Atlanta Sports Council still has alot of money left over in the $13 million reserve fund to go chase another "mega event." What should it be?

There's still the World Cup in 2026 that Atlanta's been chasing to become a host city. Jackson also mentioned the Super Bowl.

"You can expect another one," said Jackson. And the city likely won't have to wait as long as it did between Super Bowls this last time. The event was well-received and praise was heaped upon the week leading up to the big game.
