Jon Chuckery and Randy McMichael broke down the news that Ronald Acuña Jr. is set to hit in the cleanup spot for the Atlanta Braves this season.

Chuckery said, “You got to understand that if he is the kind of player you think he is you have to have a big-time run producer in the cleanup spot.”

McMichael responded, “Acuña did take the league by storm from the leadoff spot last year but you've got a guy that can drive in a lot of runs and will be protected by Freddie Freeman hitting in front of him. I do believe that it will all depend on how Ender Inciarte does in the leadoff spot.”

Chuckery on Ender Inciarte: “Inciarte is the prototypical base-stealer and should be in the leadoff spot and Brian Snitker will give him every chance to do that.”

Chuckery and McMichael both agreed that Nick Markakis won’t have the type of year he did last season and that it would be a bad decision to have Markakis bath fourth in this year’s lineup.

“If Acuña is going to win the MVP at some point in his career, it will be from the cleanup spot," Chuckery went on to say.
