The Atlanta Falcons' window is supposedly closing as the Ryan-Julio regime moves "past their prime."

When you look at the landscape of the sports teams in Atlanta, the futures are very bright for the Braves and Hawks, but there's a much bigger question about who leads the way forward for the Falcons.

The Braves have Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies, Mike Soroka, and a bevy of young prospects ready to keep the Braves atop the NL East for years to come.

The Hawks have Trae Young and John Collins to go along with Kevi Huerter, Cam Reddish, DeAndre Hunter, and others. They're young but there's a lot of potential there.

But who do the Falcons have to compliment Ryan and Julio as they enter the back half of their prime? Who is the young player who will develop into a superstar?

There are a few options on both sides of the ball to become Pro Bowl level players in the next two years for the Falcons.

  • On Offense: Hayden Hurst, Calvin Ridley, Chris Lindstrom
  • On Defense: A.J. Terrell, Marlon Davidson,  Kendall Sheffield, Isaiah Oliver, Damontae Kazee

Does having one of the above players turn into a breakout star extend the Falcons' window?

Can a young player rapidly developing into one of the league's best put the Falcons over the top in the NFC South?
