Matt Ryan reportedly restructured his contract on Tuesday. So, what does that mean?

John Michaels, of The Midday Show, breaks it down for those that may not understand how tinkering with a multi-million dollar contract works. Basically, Ryan will get his money, but this gives the Atlanta Falcons room to stay under the salary cap.

It's a good move by Ryan and shows he is committed to the team. Rick agrees that Ryan accepted a contract that was almost too much money but doesn't fault him for getting paid.

Rick references other contracts like Nick Foles and Matthew Stafford, who are both not of Ryan's caliber, that also have huge money deals. John details how he spread his money out, including taking $7 million less in 2019 just to help the team. It's a solid move by an elite quarterback.
