Duane Walker has 30-plus years in sports broadcasting and has had a decorated career with appearances on some of the top television networks in the world. He is probably best known as “Duane Walker---- CNN --- Headline Sports” where he worked for five years as a Sports Anchor on CNN Headline News. Walker has covered a multitude of major sporting events including Super Bowls, national championships, bowl games, NCAA Final Four, the NBA All-Star Game and major PGA Tournaments. Walker graduated from the University of Buffalo, majoring in Broadcast/Journalism and also lettered on the football team as a fullback before a career ending knee injury. Duane worked as an announcer for the Buffalo Bills game day staff during their historic 4 year Super Bowl run of the early 1990’s. Duane also has the distinction of being one of the first African-Americans in professional baseball management when hired as an Assistant General Manager in the Chicago Cubs farm system (Winston-Salem Spirits) in 1987-88. Active in the community where he lives, Walker serves as a Hoops Coach with a local Girls AAU Basketball organization. Duane is married and enjoys spending time at home with his wife Angela, and two children, Christina and Jacob.
