Falcons have taken care of their best players (Julio is on the way), now lets get to work.

Training camp starts tomorrow, Monday, July 22, 2019. With training camp upon us there is one thing the Falcons do not have to worry about, like some other teams, players contracts. Before the start of training camp, the Falcons and Grady Jarrett came to terms on a contract. Jarrett will now be one of the highest paid defensive players in the league with four years, $68M with over $42M guaranteed. Along with his contract, the Falcons also took care of their pro-bowl LB Deion Jones with a four year $57M contract with north of  $25M guaranteed. All of the Falcons top players, except Julio Jones have gotten their money so now it is time to work. Even Julio's contract is not a factor at the moment.

This has made both Robb and Bryant happy about these contracts. What this has done for the locker room of the Falcons cannot be overlooked.  B-Mac talks about the energy that these guys are going to have now after their contracts have been done. While Jones did not get CJ Moseley money, he along with Jarrett got the money they deserved as far as their ranking in their position. What players want more than anything, according to ten year vet B-Mac, is stability. Football is a violent sport and anything can happen. Injuries happen all of the time before players are able to get their big contracts. So for both Jones and Jarrett to secure their contracts before training camp relives any tension they may have and could help the locker room as far as the players knowing the Falcons have their backs.
