Atlanta United defender Greg Garza joined John and Hugh to talk about the team’s upcoming match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. Garza said playing in front of 72,000 plus on Sunday was incredible. “There are no words that can describe the feeling when you walk onto that field and have 70,000 people screaming for ya and cheering you on the entire guy.” Other teams are definitely envious and intimidated by the crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Can Atlanta become a soccer capital? “We probably are one of those capitals at the moment.” He talks about his friends from Mexico watching the game on Sunday and they couldn’t believe how packed the stadium looked. Hugh asks when Garza thinks the crowd will actually sit down for a match. Garza says his wife has a hard time seeing the game because of the crowd continually standing when she’s there with his children. As far as Vancouver, Garza said this is another revenge game with the Whitecaps beating them last year.
